Supreme Court: Alimony Can Be Claimed Even Where the Marriage Is Declared Void

A three-judge bench of the Supreme Court has held that a spouse can claim permanent alimony or interim maintenance under Sections 24 and 25 of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955, even where the marriage has been declared void under Section 11 of the Act.
